Wear It Wednesdays: The Camila

Hi Beauties!


Hope you had a chance to slay over the weekend. I had the opportunity to celebrate a girlfriend’s birthday with a small dinner for three at The New Yorker restaurant downtown. It was my first time there and I’ve gotta say it was perfect! From the classy ambiance that reminded me of a restaurant scene from Sex and the City, to the food, to the service, I was so happy we chose to celebrate it there. You guys have to go, I promise you won’t be disappointed.


For our little intimate dinner, I chose to wear the “Camila” bodysuit. I wanted something edgy but still classy because of the type of setting at the New Yorker. Since we were just doing dinner, I needed something that would pair well with a casual pair of jeans. So how do you get edgy, classy, and casual? Take the lace up bodysuit, with a ripped pair of denim knee-length shorts, a pair of strappy black heels, and a black bomber (the hot summer nights have cooled down some). Since no look is complete without accessories, a plain suede black choker, and black clutch is all this OOTN called for.

                     

As far as hair goes, the hottest style right now are hair knots. Messy knots, sleek knots, low knots, high knots… the easiest hair trend to date and I’m so taking advantage of it! I combined a high knot with the “wet” look thanks to a little spray gel which took me all about 8 minutes to complete.


I was debating between a dark or nude lip. Honestly, both would go with black, but it all depends on your mood. My mood that night was nude, so I did my makeup to look simple— but I swear I used just as much makeup as I would with a dramatic look, just lighter on the eyeshadow and more highlight.

I thought I would throw in my dinner deets as well. If you’re a fan of sangria like me, you’ll love theirs. Instead of crushed ice they put one big ice cube made with berries and mint leaves so that as it melts it releases the fruit. If I tried to describe it, I wouldn’t be giving it justice. You HAVE TO try it. 

If you go, I suggest the three course meal. It comes with a yummy salad of your choice, an entree of your choice, and dessert of your choice. I did the caesar, the crab cakes, and the creme brulee. All of my most favorite foods so you can see why I’ll be coming back… very soon.
