Hey all! Before I get into who lavidaBlue is, I just want to say thanks for the overwhelming love and support from all of you! Each purchase, tag, and repost on social media has meant the world to me. Please know that you will always have a special place in my heart. With that being said, let me go ahead and start our very first blog...
My name is Angie and I'm the founder and CEO of lavidaBlue. Originally from Los Angeles, California, my single mother moved my brother and I to Salt Lake City, Utah for a chance at a better life. She made the right move. Utah opened so many opportunities for us; like a chance at college and owning a business.
I graduated from both Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah. I have worked as a marketing coordinator (specifically in social media and public relations) in a marketing department for a beauty company. Prior to that I worked as an intern at Telemundo, Utah. I was offered a full time position as reporter but turned it down due to my college schedule at the time.
It was at the beauty company that I met a very talented photographer and graphic designer by the name of Jordan. Jordan, originally from Utah, is also a graduate from the University of Utah and a marketing major. He is my right hand man and the President of lavidaBlue. It didn't take long before he and I became great friends and I'm extremely blessed to have him on board with me and my wild ideas.
I often found myself juggling between multiple projects, taking work with me at times, and always researching things I could improve on, as part of the company's marketing team. Most of those tasks included collaborating with Jordan. As much time and energy as we put into this company, I thought, "Why are we not doing this for ourselves?" We were too creative to be restrained by a job.
By combining my communication skills with Jordan's marketing ideas, I hope to reach every corporate woman's closet. I want this to be the first place you come to when looking for your office attire. Whether you're an intern, receptionist, coordinator, or up in management, I want you to look amazing at work. The way you look will determine the way you feel. And if you’re feeling great, I know you can command a presence at the office that will have you conquering any and every task that comes your way. How do I know? I’ve been a marketing coordinator and a journalist. Trust me, when I dress up, I carry myself in a completely different manner. I feel so energetic and just… full of life!
Since you work so much throughout the week, you deserve a date night with your special someone or your besties. A corporate woman carries herself differently so I definitely want to make sure I have something trendy but elegant for you to wear on your nights out.
So in sum, lavidaBlue is a college graduate who took a chance in corporate America and is now trying to pursue her big dream (with the help of her good friend) in supplying the working woman with the fashionista wardrobe.
See y'all on the next blog!
